Serre Chevalier Valley is one of the largest ski-ing areas in Europe and the largest in the Southern Alps with 80% of the slopes located at an altitude of over 2,000m. Thanks to a dense, efficient network of ski lifts, take off for a realm of sunshine (300 days a year) and snow that will take your breath away.

The famous ski slopes here were the training grounds for immense Champions such as: Luc & Estelle Alphand, Pierre Vaultier, Nils Allegre and Laurie Mougel.

Operator SCV Domaine Skiable invested more than €1.2M in 2016 from Briançon to Monêtier to strengthen and optimise the snow-making facilities, to double the surface area of slopes covered in snow and open the Briançon – Chantemerle liaison.

« In Serre Chevalier Valley, the family is sacred» - such is one of the resort’s slogans. There are areas with slopes and ski lifts specially adapted for children all over the resort: at high altitude or in the valley, whatever the village you are staying in, teleskis, draglifts or magic carpets… It is all there, from sledge runs to ski lessons and snow parks.
Special routes
It is perfectly possible to explore the area as a family with some routes specially adapted to walking with a push chair. At 1,900 m, the Lutin path is a snow shoe circuit for walking through the forest in a fun way. There is also a “Traces douces” itinerary for pedestrians in a very natural setting, between Monêtier les Bains and the hamlet of Casset, to be enjoyed together as a family.
Deval'Bob
he “Deval‘Bob” is a unique activity from age 7 in which you a 4,000 m run with a change in level of 573 m and a total 26 bends winding through the larch forest!

Serre Chevalier offers a wide choice of sports activities to enjoy the great outdoors!

The excitement of white water sports with kayaks, canyoning, rafting and hydrospeed... But also cycling, the mountain passes of the Guisane valley can be your playground! The bolder can attempt the famous Galibier pass frequented by the Tour de France. The physical exertion is rewarded by the view of the glaciers and the summit of the Meije (3,987m)! Looking for adrenaline? Test the VTT Freeride, Serre Chevalier has the best tracks!

Explore the mountain on foot thanks to a wide choice of signposted hiking paths with a special mention for route around Lake Combeynot in the Écrins National Park and the celebrated Chemin du Roy which overlooks the valley from Le Lauzet to Granon Pass.
